Why Konark International Cyclthon
Konark International Cyclothon (KIC) is an initiative of Roots of Odisha Foundation for the promotion of cycling for good health and a cleaner environment. Cycling is the best possible way to attain fitness and a better health. Using cycles saves a lot of fuel which means lesser amount of fossil fuels are burnt for fuel production. So on a long term, it also helps in prevention of environmental problems like global warming. People who use cycle are comparatively more active physically than those who don’t. The message that this event actually conveys is the benefits of using cycles for daily tasks. Country needs cycle to cope up with heavy traffic and pollution. cycle to work, cycle for health, cycle for greener tomorrow
